The program of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Slovenia has ended.
The first Uzbek-Slovenian summit in the last 20 years marked a new stage in the history of bilateral relations.
During the visit, meaningful talks were held with President of the Republic of Slovenia Natasha Pirts Musar, Prime Minister Robert Golob and President of the National Assembly Urška Klakocar-Zupancic.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues covering politics, economics, investments, industrial cooperation, ecology, culture, tourism and education.
A joint statement was adopted, as well as a solid package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements that consolidated agreements on priority areas.
The culmination of the visit was the Uzbek-Slovenian business forum with the participation of the heads of state and representatives of about 100 leading companies of the two countries.
The distinguished guest was escorted by Interior Minister Bostian Poklucar and other officials at Ljubljana International Airport.
