The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a feeling of deep sorrow announces the death of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea Vitaly Fen.

Ambassador Fen was an outstanding statesman, master of sports and professional diplomat who devoted his entire life to serving the Motherland. He headed the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Seoul for 25 years and made a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. He left an indelible mark on the strengthening of Uzbekistan-South Korea ties.

Vitaly Fen was awarded the orders “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun” (For dedicated services) and “Mehnat shuhrati” (The fame of labor), as well as the South Korean order “Gwanghwa”.
