Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Uganda
Uganda became the 145th country with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations.
On January 18, 2024, a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Uganda was signed in Kampala, Uganda.
On behalf of the governments of the two countries, the document was signed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda Jeje Odongo.
During the conversation, the parties expressed mutual readiness to establish close cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres.
Foreign Minister of Uganda emphasized that official Kampala highly appreciates the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, the main direction of which is the development and strengthening of friendly, good-neighborly and mutually beneficial relations with the states of Central Asia, as well as the initiatives put forward by the President of our country at the international level.
