On December 21, 2023, Tashkent hosted political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The delegations were headed by the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Kyrgyz Republic – Jeenbek Kulubaev.

The Ministers underscored the broad and dynamically expanding agenda of the comprehensive strategic partnership between two nations. Special focus was paid to upcoming high-level engagements, expansion of the legal framework for cooperation, boosting trade, economic and investment ties, implementing new joint industrial and infrastructure projects, strengthening interregional contacts, interaction within international organizations.

After candid negotiations the Ministers signed the Protocol on the results of the political consultations, which defines the priority directions of our relationship and the specific goals to be achieved in forthcoming year.
