The new Ambassador of Iran took up his duties in Tashkent

"We are pleased to receive copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Iran to Uzbekistan H.E. Mohammad Ali Eskandari," the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry wrote in his telegram channel. – We discussed the priority tasks of the foreign ministries of the two countries to expand Uzbek-Iranian mutually beneficial cooperation. We wish Mr. Ambassador every success during his stay in our country."
Mohammad Ali Eskandari replaced Hamid Nayerabadi, who has headed the Iranian Embassy in Tashkent since 2019.
The new ambassador is 50 years old. Before his appointment to Tashkent, he worked as an adviser to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Previously, he headed a number of units in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as charge d'affaires of the Iranian embassy in Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
