On August 3, 2023, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Acting OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan Clemens Koya.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE in the Afghan direction, exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.

Clemens Koya emphasized the significant role of Uzbekistan in the process of providing the Afghan people with humanitarian and other assistance, as well as the implementation of various infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
