On April 20, 2023, Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Albert Jonsson, the Head of the Limited Referendum Observation Mission to Uzbekistan by the Bureau for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR).

During the conversation, parties discussed the issues of Uzbekistan's cooperation with OSCE institutions, in particular the ODIHR. They paid special attention to the participation of the Bureau's observer mission in the process of holding a Referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan", which will be held on April 30 this year.
