The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan Recognized as the Best Museum of the Turkic World
The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been recognized as the "Best Museum of the Turkic World" by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY).
This was announced by the organization's Secretary General, Sultan Raev, during an international scientific conference dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur.
Built in a very short period of time on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Center is now regarded not only as a unique architectural structure but also as a symbolic bridge connecting the civilizations of the East and West. Thanks to its concept, content, and scientific-educational orientation, it vividly demonstrates the creative and humanistic potential of Islamic civilization.
During the award ceremony for the "Best Museum" certificate, Sultan Raev particularly emphasized the policy of the President of Uzbekistan aimed at the in-depth study of the heritage of Islamic civilization and its promotion on the international stage:
"Thanks to the special attention of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the legacy of Amir Temur and Islamic culture are being comprehensively studied today. New scientific and artistic works are being created, and modern scientific-educational centers are being built. I can confidently say that there is no analogue to this Center anywhere in the world. This is, without a doubt, a vivid embodiment of the ideas of the Third Renaissance. Often, the world limits itself to mere declarations. However, Uzbekistan sets an example through real actions and concrete results."
In turn, the Director of the Center, F. Abdukhalikov, noted:
"The Center, created under the author's concept of the esteemed President, has today become one of the most prestigious megaprojects of the Turkic world. The head of state personally supervised all stages of its construction. Today, every visitor leaves the Center deeply impressed and inspired."
He also emphasized that the international community's interest in the Center's activities continues to grow. In particular, the government of Hungary has expressed interest in studying the Center's experience and implementing a similar project. The leadership of the federal state of Bavaria (Germany), for its part, has declared its readiness to support initiatives for promoting Islam through education.
"As is known, TÜRKSOY unites states such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey, and is rightfully called the 'UNESCO of the Turkic world.' Today, the museum heritage of these countries includes about 1,300 museums. The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, thanks to its creative idea, profound concept, and innovative solutions, has been rightfully recognized by the international community," added F. Abdukhalikov.
