Results in investments reported

On April 21 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was reported the information on work accomplished in the investment sphere for the first quarter of the current year and priority tasks for the future.
Due to our country’s active external policy and favorable business climate the volumes of investments continue to grow steadily. In particular, in the first quarter of 2025 over $8,7 billion of foreign investments were implemented, which is 20% more compared to a similar period of last year.
These funds are directed at implementing major projects in such sectors as energy, metallurgy, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, transport, agriculture and water, utility and social sectors. Special attention is paid to creating additional value and new workplaces.
In the first half of the year it’s expected to implement over $18 billion of foreign investments.
Overall, in 2025 it’s planned to attract $42 billion of foreign investments and implement 81 large, as well as 8 thousand medium and small projects.
The Head of State gave instructions on ensuring targeted work on every project, attracting all line ministries, organizations and khokimiyats, and resolving all inquiries timely.
The President also particularly underlined the need of close cooperation with each investor and increasing the effectiveness of foreign investments amid the current economic fluctuations in the world. It was noted that the priority attention should be paid to fast launch of new investment projects, diversification of industry and creating high-income jobs.
