Chairperson of the Uzbek Senate and Chinese Delegation Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Strategic Partnership
TASHKENT, March 31. /IA "Dunyo"/. Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held a meeting today with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by Liu Jianchao, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Head of the International Liaison Department, reports a correspondent of IA "Dunyo".
According to the press service of the upper house of Parliament, the discussions emphasized that thanks to mutual trust and the friendly relations between the leaders of the two countries, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has reached a strategic level.
The parties discussed projects in investment, trade, economy, culture, humanitarian affairs, and education. Special attention was paid to expanding ties between the regions of the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on further developing the strategic partnership and deepening inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and China. During the meeting, the importance of parliamentary cooperation as a key mechanism for strengthening bilateral relations was highlighted.
Additionally, prospects for practical bilateral dialogue were discussed in the context of the upcoming 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan.
For his part, Liu Jianchao praised the achievements in bilateral relations and expressed China's readiness to continue active cooperation with Uzbekistan in all areas, including economy, culture, tourism, and education.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and deepening inter-parliamentary relations, which play a crucial role in achieving common strategic goals.
