On March 15, 2024, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with the Director of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Walid Haggag.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of intensifying Uzbekistan-Egypt cooperation with an emphasis on further strengthening and expanding ties in the research and educational spheres. Mutual interest was expressed in implementing new joint projects and programs in this direction.

The sides welcomed the outcomes of recent negotiations between Walid Haggag and the leadership of the Information-analytical Center for International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
