On March 12, 2024, a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Kabul.

During the visit Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan met with several officials of Afghanistan’s interim government - Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar the Acting Foreign Ministry Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi. 

The sides covered the broad agenda of cooperation in many areas. The parties paid a particular attention to boosting economic ties, creating the most favorable conditions for business communities to have better engagements with each other.
